Need storage device on the go? Seagate Wireless Plus 1TB and Seagate One Touch 500 GB SSD are still great options for removable storage in 2021
After a serious upgrade of our office equipment I got a nice present from a wonderful person - the Seagate Wireless Plus 1TB external hard drive and together with the Seagate One Touch 500 GB SSD that we bought couple of months earlier we had everything we need for extra storage on the go.
Form factor and Performance
There is a significant storage size difference between these two devices but the smaller one which is the Seagate One Touch 500 has the size and weight advantage. By being so compact and lightweight the Seagate One Touch 500 GB SSD is easy to carry even in your pocket. That is a great advantage when talking about removable storage.
On the other hand the Seagate Wireless Plus 1TB has more space for your files but is also quite bigger and heavier. Speed is also slower compared to the SSD. A big advantage that this storage device has is the wireless connection with your laptop or PC which allows you to transfer files wirelessly (not the fastest option though but still usable).
Our feedback
To be honest, we are quite happy with both devices after having them for couple of months now. We had the Seagate One Touch 500 GB SSD a bit longer and we have used it quite more often. The Seagate Wireless Plus 1TB will come handy when storing small, medium-sized and large files that will not be used very often, e.g. images, clips and other media files.

Being so small the One Touch 500 GB SSD is a perfect companion for everyday use, even as a USB flash memory replacement.
So, this is our short feedback about these two removable storage devices by Seagate. We would love to hear your opinion about these or any other similar device that you have liked recently.
