Armrest Astra H

Couple of weeks ago I found a very good deal on an aftermarket car armrest for my Opel Astra H which unfortunately didn't have the stock one. Also, it was impossible to buy a second hand stock one as the driver's seat itself doesn't have the integrated mount for armrest.

So I made a quick research and found this grey Astra H armrest for around 18 Euros which seemed to me like and awesome deal considering the fact that official Opel dealership offered me one for 180 Euros which is just way too much for an armrest.

Mounting the armrest

This Astra H armrest came with everything required for fixing it correctly between the front seats. Actually, this armrest is universal and is used for many other makes and models so it came with an adapter made specifically for the Astra H (model years 04-09 gasoline and diesel). The whole mounting process shouldn't take you more than 20-30 minutes and all required tools are couple of screwdrivers.

Well, once on its place I can say that the armrest fitted pretty nicely in the interior even though I think the black version would suit my Astra's dark grey interior better.

As a drawback I should mention the squeaky sounds it makes from time to time but for the price of around $20 we can't expect the best build quality around.

This Astra H has an extender of the top leather (faux leather) part so you can customize its length and storage space with some cheap padding for the inside so it will prevent moving objects.
