HTC Jetstream tablet review

Features and specs of the 10.1 Android tablet HTC Jetstream

HTC Jetstream
HTC Jetstream review. It has been quite some time since the HTC Jetstream is for sale(also known as HTC Puccini) so we decided it is high time to take a closer look at this interesting Android v3.1 Honeycomb tablet.

HTC Jetstream has a very fast Qualcomm MSM8260 1.5 GHz dual-core processor. This really is one very capable processor. Together with the 1GB of RAM the Jetstream is quick and responsive in any situation, no matter how heavy the multitasking load is.

The 10.1-inch LCD capacitive touchscreen has 16 million colors and resolution of 800 x 1280 pixels. It is a very nice display as you might expect from such high-end device. It supports multitouch as well. The screen is bright and with the hardware specs provided it doesn't lag and its visibility in daylight is quite good so it is good for using outdoors.

There is plenty of storage space in the Jetstream tablet, it has 32GB of flash memory, which is more than enough for a mobile deice. In case you need more you can always expand it with up to 32GB with an additional microSD card.
HTC Jetstream has quite impressive connectivity options. Connecting to the Internet is easy with the fast Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n. The WiFi adapter can also be used as a WiFi hotspot.
HTC Jetstream is also a 4G device offered with data connection from AT&T and few other carriers (GPRS, EDGE, HSDPA 14.4 Mbps, HSUPA 5.76 Mbps, LTE).

The Jetstream tablet supports the latest Bluetooth v3.0 with A2DP. GPS is also available (with A-GPS support) so that you can use this tablet as fully functioning navigation system.
HTC Jetstream has two cameras on board. The front-facing 1.3MP is great for video calls while the better performing rear autofocus camera has 8MP and can record Full HD 1080p videos. It also has a dual-LED flash for taking pictures in dark conditions.

The operating system of the HTC Jetstream tablet is Android 3.2 (or 3.0 depending on the update) Honeycomb. Of course all the apps form the Android Market are available.
The Jetstream tablet has a very strong battery and can hold charge for more than 10 hours of heavy duty usage. The maximum standby time is around 35 days.

Probably the biggest drawback for the HTC Jetstream tablet is not the high price but the massive weight of the device. It weighs around 709g which makes it one of the heaviest devices in the segment and also not very compact to carry around. Other than that the Jetstream is a very capable device packed with all the features modern tablet should have.
The price for the HTC Jetstream tablet varies somewhere around $450 which is not much at all considering the high specs of the device.
