Test drive VW Touareg 2011 - test drive and video review of 2011 VW Touareg

VW Touareg 2011

VW Touareg is one of the greatest successes of VW Group model line in last few years. This SUV came out almost 10 years ago and it has been a real best seller since.
The latest VW Touareg offers much more dynamic design compared to its predecessor. The interior is improved as well. Now the Touareg feels much more settled inside and out with more technological innovations and improved fuel economy (which was kind of a problem in the previous generation).
The downsizing engine volume trend has reached big SUVs like the Touareg as well and now it offers smaller engines with better turbos and better dynamics. There is a hybrid model in the Touareg model range as well.
Gasoline engines include VW Touareg 3.6 V6 BlueMotion with 280 PS (206 kW; 276 hp) at 6,200 rpm and 360 Nm (266 lb·ft) at 3,200 rpm; 3.0 Supercharged Hybrid with 333 PS (245 kW; 328 hp - 440 Nm); 4.2 FSI V8 360 PS (265 kW; 355 hp).
There are two diesel engines in the model line - 3-liter V6 TDI BlueMotion 240 PS (177 kW; 237 hp) and a V8 TDI 340 PS (250 kW; 335 hp).
